YOU:CYCLE

Young Changemakers for Circular Local Economy

The YOU-CYCLE project seeks to promote a circular economy as a means to empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who could use their green knowledge and skills to establish or join social enterprises that benefit their local communities. At the same time, it seeks to design a replicable training model that could benefit interested entities working with youth from different sectors. The project will be implemented in three countries: Spain, Greece and Turkey with the support of expert technical partners from Belgium and Romania.

The project includes activities aimed at raising awareness of the concepts of circular economy and social entrepreneurship, improving the capacity of project participants in this field also thanks to the involvement of local change agents, enabling them to develop their own business ideas and promoting the replication of the project results in different fields and at public policy level.

The project will result in increased employability opportunities for young people at risk of exclusion in the green sector, generating awareness on the concept of circular economy and an overall positive impact on the local communities involved.

Project funded by: Erasmus + Program, through the Spanish National Agency, SG for Internal and External Cooperation of the Spanish Youth Institute (INJUVE).
