YRUX is an Erasmus + project executed by 5 partner organizations from Italy, Spain, Turkey and Latvia, bridging the rural-urban divide among young people in four European countries through placemaking methodologies.The project will develop partner organizations’ capacity to leverage urban-rural duality as an opportunity, deliver a blended learning program focused on leadership and community-building, produce research-driven policy recommendations for strengthening urban-rural connections, and support youth in co-creating exchanges that value differences while recognizing commonalities. During the next 24 months, YRUX will implement youth committees and expert engagement, curriculum co-design and development of educational resources, delivery of blended learning programs on placemaking and leadership, concurrent research activities examining rural-urban dynamics, organization of youth-led national exchanges in four partner countries, an international exchange in Italy to develop policy recommendations at EU and national levels, and creation of a practical toolkit to ensure sustained impact beyond the fun.This project is carried out in collaboration with Legambiente Trani (Italy), Pixie Academy (Turkey), Creative Ideas (Latvia), and Rural Hackers (Spain).The project is funded by the Italian Erasmus Plus National Agency.
