The You-Cycle project (Young Changemakers for Circular Local Economy) is an initiative funded by Erasmus+, through the Spanish National Agency INJUVE (Instituto de la Juventud de España), with the aim of promoting the circular economy among young people, especially those in disadvantaged situations who could use their green knowledge and skills to establish or join social enterprises that benefit their local communities.
As part of its activities, You-Cycle promotes initiatives that allow young people to learn about the concepts of circular economy and social entrepreneurship, enhance the capacity of project participants in this field also thanks to the involvement of local change agents, enable them to develop their own business ideas and promote the replication of project results in different fields and at the public policy level.
You-Cycle Handbook
Thus, one of the main results of You-Cycle is the creation of a You-Cycle Handbook with strategies and recommendations to engage young people in entrepreneurial initiatives within the circular economy. This document builds on the experience gained at the international training held in Athens, Greece, in July 2024.
The handbook seeks to empower young people through practical knowledge and tools that enable them to develop sustainable projects, promoting recycling, reuse of materials and the creation of environmentally responsible business models.
